Bhaya Cruises is the leading cruise operator in Halong Bay. All of our vessels run year round, and during Tet holiday is no different. Bhaya will be operating as normal, taking passengers to discover the beauty of the bay with no surcharge. For such a joyous time of year, a special cruise will be offered.
The entire boat will be decorated with a traditional Vietnamese Tet theme. Kumquat trees, cherry blossom and Chung Cake can be found all over the ship. However, Tet traditions will not just be reflected in the décor, but will also be integrated into activities on board.
* Cooking Demonstration: beside spring rolls, our chef will introduce guests on how to make a typical and must-have dish for Tet in Vietnam - Chung Cake.
* The buffet station: The buffet station will include different kinds of traditional cake such as Gio cake and Day Gio cake. Passengers will be given an opportunity to taste the unique flavors of Tet in Vietnam.
* Tea Ceremony: Together with Chung cake, Mut or candied fruit is a must-have item. Having some candied fruit while drinking tea is an ideal way to relax during New Year. Embarking with Bhaya Cruises, guests will have the chance to enjoy a holiday tea ceremony.
* Lucky Voucher: In the first few days of New Year, Vietnamese people have a tradition of giving money to one another. It is believed that this money will bring good luck and fortune. Instead of money, Bhaya Cruises will prepare lucky vouchers in traditional red envelopes which offer discounts off of services on board.
